Yellow Wood Partners Adds Jay Rogers and Taylor Gordy as Operating Partners

BOSTON, May 1, 2025 – Yellow Wood Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm focused on investing in consumer brands and companies, recently announced that it has named Jay Rogers and Taylor Gordy as Operating Partners. Jay and Taylor each bring over 30 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry and will contribute their finance, supply chain, and commercial sales backgrounds to Yellow Wood Partners’ existing portfolio companies.

Jay has been working with the Yellow Wood team since 2012, previously serving as COO of PDC Brands and CEO of Scholl's Wellness Company. He brings over 30 years experience in the Consumer Products Industry in various areas including finance, supply chain, general management and international. Prior to Yellow Wood, he worked at Blacksmith Brands, Prestige Brands Holdings, Sara Lee Corporation and started his career at the U.S. Securities and Exchange commission. The majority of his career has been working with private equity firms carving out and standing up brand acquisitions, building consumer platform companies and developing exit strategies. Jay has a BS in Finance and an MBA from Rutgers University.

Taylor has been working with the Yellow Wood Team since 2023, previously serving as Chief Commercial Officer of Future Beauty Brands. He brings over 30 years experience in the Consumer Products industry. Prior to Yellow Wood, he served from 1989 to 2023 in roles of increasing responsibility at Colgate-Palmolive. Throughout his career at Colgate-Palmolive, he progressed from sales representative to customer development and officer roles where he oversaw the global sales team and developed valuable commercial relationships. He most recently served as EVP/GM for Northern Europe, where he led his team to record results as they navigated the turbulent COVID period. Taylor is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University.
